Meet the instructors of Art POW!
Collage with Corona Fine Arts / Carolina Corona (pictured bottom right) – Carolina has exhibited in galleries across the state. Inspired by nature, Carolina’s work reflects the beauty of her surroundings, often embracing themes of women in nature and freedom through the natural world.
Graffiti Stickers with Destro (pictured bottom left) – Destro is a talented graffiti artist known for his unique blend of street art and illustration, which has garnered attention in both the graffiti scene and the wider art community.
Storytelling with Olympea (pictured top right)- Olympea tells stories through her practice as a singer/songwriter, musician, community health worker, and trained somatic movement practitioner.
Puppetry and Physical Theatre with Federica (pictured top left) – Fede is a dynamic performer, puppeteer, comedian, visual artist and educator with a deep passion for innovative storytelling, cultural diversity, social and climate justice.
Asheville Creative Arts’ educational programs unite professional artists with academic rigor. Our teaching artists specialize in culturally responsive teaching, and receive ongoing professional development to ensure their instruction supports inclusive classrooms.
Art POW! has been curated by Federica Collina – After earning a cum laude degree in Political Science from the University of Bologna, Italy, she trained in theater, clowning, and dance while traveling across Europe. Her journey led her to puppetry—the love of her life—leading her to pursue a career in puppet theatre and performing arts, studying under renowned mentors and as part of the Bread and Puppet Theater.
