For 4th-6th graders

Through improv and movement games, students will explore story structure focusing on how the beginning, middle, and end work together to introduce characters that develop through crisis and lead to resolution. We will discover how protagonists interact with an antagonist to change through a story. Students will learn to develop and then act out a story as a group.

For 6th-8th graders
March 4 – April 29 (8 weeks) at Hanger Hall (64 West.T. Weaver Blvd)
Create digital stories—short, first-person narrative movies that combine images, voice, and music to tell a compelling art-o-biographical short film. Filmed and edited on a cell phone.
June 24-28, 2019 at Hanger Hall (64 West.T. Weaver Blvd)
$130 per 1/2 day session, with early drop-off ($10), late pick-up ($10) and lunchtime supervision ($10) available
Working with local actor and filmmaker Rebecca Williams, campers will use creative drama techniques of improv, pantomime, puppetry, prop and costume creation to work with stories, myths, and folktales to create an informal performance at the end of the week.
Offering instruction in acting, creative drama, writing, and improv. Campers will have the opportunity to use each of these techniques across the week through the exploration and development of theatre games and story workshops. Led by local actors Scott Fisher and Glenn Reed.
